Online Employee Scheduling

Why is AutoFill leaving shift unassigned?

If AutoFill is not assigning your shifts, you can click on any shift that remains unassigned to see why no Employee was assignedt.

Clicking on the shift to change the worker brings up the "Shift Change" popup which lists all the Employees able to work that position, along with their relative availability for that particular date and time. This should help in tracking why no Employee was assigned to a particular shift.

Normally it is related to the duration (paid hours) of the shift being incorrect (ex. not entering the paid hours of a shift when it includes an unpaid break), or the Employee's maximum hours/shifts per day/week are not set correctly.  Or, if you have entered Employee work time preferences it could be that qualified Employees are set to cannot work for that time.

We can also help research why AutoFill is not assigning your shifts the way you'd like, just use the Contact link at the bottom of your account and send the specific details about the shifts (date, times, position, etc) and Employees you feel could have been assigned and we will investigate here and get back to you with the reasoning. Understanding why AutoFill is not assigning as you like may help address the issue and make it more effective in the future.
